Alice K. Alt brings more than two decades of leadership in storytelling, development, and public service to her role as Interim Executive Director of Kentucky to the World. Born and raised in Pennsylvania, Alice’s career has taken her across the country—and ultimately to Kentucky—where she now resides in Louisville with her husband and three children, who she is incredibly proud of. Her personal journey mirrors her professional one: rooted in connection, driven by purpose, and centered on people.

Throughout her career, Alice has served at the intersection of arts, education, economic development, and philanthropy. She has led multimillion-dollar fundraising efforts, helped organizations expand their public reach, and partnered with leaders at the local, state, and national levels to move mission-driven work forward. Most recently, she has played a key role in advancing Kentucky’s creative and cultural ecosystem—championing institutions, artists, and ideas that strengthen communities and elevate Kentucky’s story far beyond its borders.

At Kentucky to the World, Alice brings her passion for narrative, place, and possibility to life—curating conversations that celebrate creativity, heritage, and innovation.
