About the Event
Kentucky to the World (KTW), in partnership with the Kentucky Science Center, will host internationally recognized neurosurgeon and neuroscientist Dr. Ajmal Zemmar for its Republic Bank Foundation Speaker Series.
The program, titled “Echoes of Life: Lessons From the Dying Brain,” will take place on October 16, 2025, at the Kentucky Science Center in Louisville.
Who Is Dr. Ajmal Zemmar?

Research Spotlight: In 2022, Dr. Zemmar made national headlines with groundbreaking research into the phenomenon of “life flashing before your eyes” in the moments before death.
Impact: His work explores how the final moments of life can inform how we live more meaningfully today.
